# Assistant

> A website assistant grounded in published content

**AiQL Assistant** is a standalone product at [assistant.aiql.io](https://assistant.aiql.io). It turns a public website into an embeddable chat assistant grounded in that site's published content.

A customer submits a site URL. AiQL indexes pages as they are published, including text, images, charts, tables, and linked documents. A single embed places a chat widget on the site. Answers are meant to stay on that published material.

Typical uses are product discovery, pricing questions, support, onboarding, documentation, and policy lookup.

Assistant is not Observatory Explore. Explore answers against a workspace's ingested knowledge inside [app.aiql.io](https://app.aiql.io). Assistant answers against a public website, without that workspace shell.
