The Connectors API is how external systems are discovered, configured, and synced into an AiQL workspace. It sits beside the Middleware API. Studio’s connector marketplace uses it. Ingested files then flow through middleware ingestion. It lists available connector types and how each is configured, then pulls content from those systems into workspace sources. Typical sources include enterprise file stores and operational systems. After a sync, new or changed documents are ingested through the Middleware API like any other source. This is not the schema catalog. Source shapes are described by the Ontologies API. Connector setup in the app is on Studio.
